Alana Nelson has been named player of the year. "Alana Nelson has won the league MVP for three years in a row. She is the most dominate player in school history. Her relentless work ethic is why she is so dominate. Alana has lead the team in scoring 22 ppg and rebounding with 11.5 rpg. this season. Alana broke the 1000 career points mark and ended the season with 1454 points. She broke the school scoring record with 462 points for her senior season. She can play in the post, but can also step out on the perimeter to hit the outside 3 point shot. Alana has ball handling skills of a guard, but the size of a forward. She is the type of player that has no limits. She is signed to play for Northwoods University this Fall. For these reasons I am proud to award Alana Nelson the Player of the Year."
