Andrew Dillon has been named player of the year. "Andrew is what every coach wants in a team player. He helped lead his team to a 20 win season for the first time in many years as well as setting over 6 team school records. Andrew also set many school records himself including batting ave., runs scored, RBI's, stolen bases and homeruns. He led the state of Michigan at the end of the regular season in Homeruns, RBI's and Runs Scored. Andrew was just selected 1st Team all-Conference for the third year in a row and was All-Conference Honorable Mention as a Freshman. Andrew was also selected 1st Team All-District as a Freshman and Junior an it looks very much like he will be selected as a Senior. He has been on the All-Area Team every year he has play. Andrew has been selected to play in the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association East-West All Star Game at Comerica Park in Detroit on June 21st, one of only 36 players. Andrew was awarded the Male Athlete of the year for his high school after playing Varsity Football, Varsity Basketball and Varsity Baseball all four years at an All-Conference and All-Area level in each sport to include All State in Football. Andrew will be playing Baseball at D1 Oakland University next year on a scholarship. Off the field Andrew was awarded for maintaining a GPA above 3.0 while playing multiple sports. He was a scholar/athlete every year in school. Andrew also spent time working with the local youth teaching them what it take to be a good athlete, student and person. His stats for the season are as follows; .525 ave., 1.111 slugging, 16 homeruns, 48 RBI's, 49 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, 52 hits in 99 at bats, 5-3-1 pitching with a 1.92 ERA, 68 strike outs, 5 complete games in 53.0 innings pitched. "
