The Duluth Central Trojans baseball team scored 6 points and limited the visiting Esko Eskomos to 2 in the Trojans non-league victory on Saturday.

The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Superior (Superior, WI). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

The Eskomos (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Eveleth-Gilbert (Eveleth, MN). The Golden Bears go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

Esko scored first in the bottom of the 1st inning. Brett Johnson lead off the inning with a single and was moved to 3rd on consecutive ground balls. He then scored on a past ball. Duluth Central answered in the top of the sixth with 3 hits. Postal led the inning off with a triple. He was singled in by Tobin, who stole second and was eventually singled in by Johnson. Esko answered in the bottom of the sixth by a leadoff single by Steve Lewis. Lewis stole second and advanced to 3rd on an error by the shortstop. He then scored on a fielder's choice. Esko ran themselves out of an inning that could've produced several more runs. Central then answered in the top of the 7th with 4 runs. Anderson led the inning off with a single, Cozzi walked, and Snyder tripled them both in. Postal and Tobin both walked, Kysch was hit by a pitch, and Snyder scored on a wild pitch and Kysch on a fielder's choice.
