Deer River Warriors (Deer River, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Bigfork Huskies (Bigfork, MN), 67-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Deer River upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Mesabi East (Aurora, MN) to play the Giants in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 19. The Giants come into the bout with a record of 13-8. Mesabi East won 66-49 in their recent non-league bout against Ely (Ely, MN)

Next up, the Huskies play the Cotton Cardinals (Cotton, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 19. Bigfork will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 85-66 non-league win over Wrenshall (Wrenshall, MN).
