Jurich Alex

Jurich Alex has been named player of the year. "Alex is a great player, person and team leader! He has tremendous power leading the STATE of Minnesota with seven home runs and 33 RBI’s along with leading the team in on base percentage of .573, hits (28), and runs scored (35). Alex has hit safely in 18 of 19 games with a current 15 game hitting streak going. Even though he exhibits tremendous power, he is tied for team lead in walks and hit by pitch combined (14). He is very patient at the plate. With all these stats he has zero strike outs this year. He has not had many opportunities to throw out base runners because teams know he is behind the plate. He is our leader and two year Captain and a big reason why Saint Thomas Academy is having a successful year: the FIRST Classic Suburban Conference Title and the first Conference Championship in 27 years!
