Brooke Jerger

Brooke Jerger has been named player of the year. "Brooke Jerger struck out 157 batters this season. This senior pitcher was on the mound for 17 wins. She helped out team compile a 23-2 record which is the best in our school's history. Her ERA was 2.42 and she only allowed 40 earned runs over the whole season. Brooke tied a school record striking out 15 batters in a single game. She threw a nine inning no-hitter against Barnesville and the very next game threw a no-hitter against a very strong Detroit Lakes team. Brooke's season batting average was .352 with 7 doubles and 2 home runs. Brooke led her team with a tenacity that you don't often see in players. As a four year starter, she has been a part of the Park Rapids Panthers 76-21 record. Brooke was named to the All Section Team, the All Star Team for Section 8AA and was also named to the All State Honorable Mention Team. She has left a legacy playing for the Park Rapids Panthers! "
