Mexico Bulldogs (Mexico, MO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Eldon Mustangs (Eldon, MO), 51-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mexico upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Centralia (Centralia, MO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 19. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Centralia lost 62-56 in their recent non-league bout against Hallsville (Hallsville, MO)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Warsaw Wildcats (Warsaw, MO) in a Tri-County bout, on Tuesday, January 20. Eldon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 53-51 non-league loss to Weaubleau (Weaubleau, MO).
