The Moberly Spartans (Moberly, MO) basketball nipped the host Eldon Mustangs (Eldon, MO), 40-39 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Parkview (Springfield, MO). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Parkview got by Southwest Early College (Kansas City, MO), 75-40, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warsaw for a Tri-County - Southwest test on Tuesday, January 15. Eldon will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 72-32 non-league win over El Dorado Springs (El Dorado Springs, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-2.
