Emily Wiese has been named player of the year. "Emily has played varsity volleyball at Herculaneum for the last 3 years. She excelled as a middle blocker and adjusted well to the outside during this very trying year. Besides being an athlete that I could always count on during those close matches she excelled with leadership off the court. Emily has great communication skills and could always rally the team to work and play harder. She has maintained excellent grades while being involved in an array of extra-curricular activities. She was nominated as a homecoming candidate which shows she is well liked and respected among her peers. I believe she was over-looked for post season awards that were well deserving. Emily is that rock solid player every coach wants on their team. She is motivated, hard working, energetic, dependable and fun to be around. "
