Missouri High School Softball - Holcomb gets by Bloomfield
The Holcomb Hornets nipped the visiting Bloomfield Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Hornets (13-0) will now prepare for their battle against Senath-Hornersville (Senath, MO). The Lions go into the District 2 battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Senath-Hornersville held off Charleston (Charleston, MO), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Oak Ridge for a non-league battle on Monday, April 8. Bloomfield will meet a Blue Jays squad coming off a 16-10 non-league loss to Scott County Central (Sikeston, MO). The Blue Jays record now stands at 0-8.
