Spectators at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Seneca Indians (Seneca, MO) and the visiting Marshfield Bluejays (Marshfield, MO), witnessed Seneca's softball squad hold off Marshfield by a final score of 7-6.
The Indians (9-5) will now prepare for their bout against Monett (Monett, MO). The Cubs go into the non-league bout with a 9-5 record. In their last bout, Monett was edged by Webb City (Webb City, MO), 5-4, in a non-league bout.
The Bluejays now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Cassville for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 20. Marshfield will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to East Newton (Granby, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-9.
