The Columbus Falcons basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Grenada Chargers to 61 in the Falcons league triumph on Thursday.
The Falcons now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center Hill for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 14. Columbus will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 73-26 league win over Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-6.
The Chargers (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Madison-Ridgeland Academy was defeated by Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA), 70-63, in a non-league contest.
