Biloxi Indians (Biloxi, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to D'Iberville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 6. Biloxi will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to East Central (Moss Point, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Long Beach falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 5. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. St. Martin won 10-3 in their recent non-league game against East Central (Moss Point, MS)
