Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS), 15-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Biggersville for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 9. Walnut will face a Lions squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Alcorn Central (Glen, MS). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Falkner moves to 1-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Friday, March 9. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 0-5.
