Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richland for a 4A Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Wesson falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS) to face the Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 5-4.
