The New Site Royals got by the visiting Walnut Wildcats softball squad by a count of 10-9 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Royals (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Bearcats go into the 2A Region 1 battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Baldwyn was edged by Hatley (Amory, MS), 6-5, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Hatley for a 2A Region 1 battle on Thursday, April 5. Walnut will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 18-3.
