Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), 65-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Murphy upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to play the Black Knights in a Smoky Mountain - Big 1A bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Black Knights come into the bout with a record of 8-9. Robbinsville won 61-60 in their recent league battle against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)

The Wildcats (6-13) will now prepare for their battle against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Hiwassee Dam was toppled by Highlands (Highlands, NC), 64-39, in a league battle.
