HUNTER WEST has been named player of the year. "Without a doubt Hunter is our 2017-18 player of the year. She has also been selected All-Area POY and All ECC POY for the second year in a row. Hunter was selected to the 1st team All-District team. Hunter will graduate from South Lenoir as the schools All-time leading scorer 1601 pts, Rebounder 1141 rebounds, and shot blocker with 391 shots blocked. Hunter is also the recipient of UNC's Morehead scholarship and is hoping to be play basketball at Carolina. "
