Quayshawn Chambers has been named player of the year. "QUAYSHAWN CHAMBERS, MONROE, QB, 6-3, 190, JR.: Chambers was the first to rush and pass over 1000yds in a season for Monroe as he rushed for 1221 yds on 147 carries (8.31avg) and scored 16 rushing touchdowns. Chambers passed for 1776 yds, completing 104 of 213 passes for 22 touchdowns. Chambers was selected as a Rocky River All-Conference and All-Union County player for this year. Chambers was chosen as the Rocky River Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Chambers was also chosen as Charlotte Touchdown Club Comeback Player of the Year. Chambers has had Division-I offers from Duke and NC State but has currently verbally committed to Duke. Chambers has continued to get interest from other Division-I schools such as N. Carolina and S. Carolina."
