Danny Marban has been named player of the year. "Danny, as a senior captain, was a true leader on and off the field. He displayed this by working harder than anyone at practice, in matches and being the best player on the field in just about every game played this season. He finished with 20 goals and 25 assists, but he was even better than those stats. As starting center mid, he controlled the game with his brilliant skill and complete control of the ball, while making his teammates around him better. He was All-Conference Player of the Year, All-Region Player of the Year and was an All-State Player as well. Danny has a true passion and unmatched dedication to the sport he truly loves, soccer. He was usually the first player to arrive at practice and never was eager to leave. He has all the tools and the matching attitude to play college soccer. He is deserving of this award, and I truly believe that the entire team would agree. Congratulations to Danny Marban, a well deserving Player of the Year."
