North Carolina High School Softball - Alleghany can't hold off Elkin
The Elkin Elks softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Alleghany Trojans to 13 in the Elks league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Elkin moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Elks host Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley game on Friday, March 8. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley game, on Friday, March 8. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
