Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe for a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Monday, April 8. Piedmont will battle a Redhawks squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to battle the Panthers in a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Monday, April 8.
