The Hayesville Yellowjackets volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Cherokee Braves to 0 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets now have a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nantahala for a non-league game on Thursday, October 8. Hayesville will meet a Hawks team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-11.
The Braves (0-12) will now prepare for their game against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs enter the Big Smoky Mountain 1A game with a 5-11 record. In their last game, Murphy gained a win over Andrews (Andrews, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
