Megan Philipson has been named player of the year. "This year we had a clear winner of the MVP/Player of the Year Award, Megan Philipson. Megan was pushed into the spotlight of the defense her sophomore year when the starting Libero was injured. After that year she never looked back or relinquished that position. She always continued to develop her skills and her athletism during club play. Megan came into her senior year as the leader in single-season digs and looked to create the dominance in the new NAC 4A Conference. Megan did not disappoint. She set new school records that will be difficult to break. She set the single-season record digs at 731and crushed the CHHS All-Time Dig record with 1,157 digs. Megan set the All-Time CHHS service point record with 505 points from the service line. At the same time, she set the All-Time CHHS Service Ace record with 124 aces. She lead all NC high schools in defense with 731 digs and dominated the Northern Atlantic Conference. She was named the NAC 4A Defensive Player of the Year. "
