The McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) basketball nipped the host Dorchester Longhorns (Dorchester, NE), 34-32 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Lawrence-Nelson got by Superior (Superior, NE), 54-46, in a non-league test.

The Longhorns now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to College View Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 5. Dorchester will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 28-26 non-league loss to Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.
