McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hampton Hawks (Hampton, NE), 51-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McCool Junction upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to High Plains (Polk, NE) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Hawks play the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE) in a D2 District 3 bout, on Thursday, December 7. Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Red Hornets come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 66-16 non-league loss to St. Francis (Humphrey, NE).
