The O'Neill Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Plainview Pirates to 25 in the Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ord for a non-league contest on Friday, February 11. O'Neill will battle a Chanticleers team coming off a 53-49 league loss to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE). The Chanticleers record now stands at 4-17.

The Pirates (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Creighton (Creighton, NE). The Bulldogs come into the D1 District 5 contest with a 5-16 record. In their last contest, Creighton was routed by Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NE), 67-44, in a league contest.
