In Friday's non-league game, the Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE) football team smashed the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), by a final score of 41-6.

The Sailors (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Perkins County (Grant, NE). The Plainsmen come into the C2 District 10 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Perkins County was trounced by St. Patrick's (North Platte, NE), 49-14, in a non-league game.

The Panthers now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gordon-Rushville for a C1 District 10 game on Friday, September 25. Hershey will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Sidney (Sidney, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-0.
