The McCool Junction Mustangs held off the host Sutton Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sandy Creek for a non-league test on Saturday, October 1. McCool Junction will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Milford (Milford, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 9-7.

The Mustangs (1-12) will now prepare for their test against Thayer Central (Hebron, NE). The Titans enter the C2 District 1 test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Thayer Central was nudged by Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE), 2-0, in a non-league test.
