In what's become a running theme this season, the Coalinga Horned Toads gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 65-11 win over Tranquillity. The victory was nothing new for Coalinga as they're now sitting on four straight.
Coalinga found their leader in underclassman Addie Love, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jozlynn Marshall, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Coalinga is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Tranquillity, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-22.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coalinga will square off against the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Avenal will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1194th, while the Horned Toads are ranked 477th). Tranquillity is on the road again on Monday and plays the Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. Mendota's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
