Elbert County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Rabun County on Tuesday. The Blue Devils never let the Banks County Leopards get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Haven Adams, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Banks County off the board. Adams also tossed no walks, which is notable because Elbert County is 12-3 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Amabile, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Jose Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run.

Elbert County pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Banks County, they moved to 21-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

Elbert County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Leopards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
