The Kimball Jaguars's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 win over Mountain House. That's another feather in the cap for Kimball, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kimball's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aniaya Garcia, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Garcia is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Coronado was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Mountain House's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vanessa Hill, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica Foster, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mountain House were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kimball only pulled down 12.
Kimball now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mountain House, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Kimball will face off against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Monday. Mountain House won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dublin at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
