Monessen was the clear victor by a 59-33 margin over Jefferson-Morgan. The result was nothing new for Monessen, who have now won three contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Monessen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MyAsia Majors, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Madison Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Monessen's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing West Greene the next time they take the court. Monessen will host West Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Jefferson-Morgan will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
