 Twentynine Palms' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Indio, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Twentynine Palms skirted past Indio  7-6 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Indio's  Bryan Nuno, who   struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk).
