Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poth). They came out on top against the Sinton Pirates by a score of 54-47 on Tuesday. For Poth, this counts as revenge for the 56-47 victory Sinton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

The win made it two in a row for Poth and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Sinton, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Poth and Sinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Poth (ranked 961st) will meet Wimberley (ranked 231st) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Sinton will square off against Flour Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 1,029 places (1516 vs. 487).
