It was a good run, but the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 62-48 fall against Susquehanna Township. If Bishop McDevitt hoped to take revenge for the 43-39 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Leading Susquehanna Township to victory were Ava London and Schuyler Coles. London scored 20 points, while Coles scored 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Coles has scored at least a third of Susquehanna Township's points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Barnes, who scored eight points.
Bishop McDevitt's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Susquehanna Township, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Bishop McDevitt will look to defend their home court on Monday against Central Dauphin East at 7:30 p.m. Central Dauphin East is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Susquehanna Township on the road again on Sunday and play against North Allegheny at 10:00 a.m. on January 14th. North Allegheny has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
