Even though the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams have not done well against the Shade Panthers recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Turkeyfoot Valley Area snuck past the Panthers with a 48-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Turkeyfoot Valley Area.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area found their leader in underclassman Kiley Mitchell, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Maleigha Younkin was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Turkeyfoot Valley Area back to even at 9-9. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turkeyfoot Valley Area will take on the Maples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shade, they will play host again and welcome the Ramblers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windber is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
