While Hesperia Christian's victory against Desert Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Hesperia Christian had just enough and edged out Desert Christian 8-7. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Hesperia Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Beasley, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Beasley is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Ezra Hawthorne, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Beasley wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Hesperia Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Hesperia Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. Desert Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hesperia Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside Prep at 3:15 p.m. on April 1. As for Desert Christian, they will welcome Santa Clarita Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Desert Christian their first taste of in-conference action this season.
