Firebaugh hadn't done well against Chowchilla recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Firebaugh Eagles snuck past the Chowchilla Tribe with a 32-26 win. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Firebaugh pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Chowchilla, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firebaugh will finish 2024 at home by hosting McLane at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Chowchilla, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Madera South at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
