Bishop Amat is 7-1 against Paraclete since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spirits at 11:30 a.m. Bishop Amat is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Bishop Amat's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Claremont by a score of 3-0.

Gavyn Alfaro tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bishop Amat saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Campos, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paraclete, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Highland on Thursday.
Mason Jacobo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Paraclete is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-11 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Armando Saucedo, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Paraclete: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jesse Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Paraclete hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.
Bishop Amat's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Paraclete, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Bishop Amat skirted past Paraclete 6-4 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Spirits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
