Pitman is 10-0 against Enochs since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pitman Pride will head out on the road to square off against the Enochs Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
After a string of three wins, Pitman's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turlock. Pitman has struggled against Turlock recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Pitman had strong showings from Dailynn Greener, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Tusi Elisaia, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. Greener hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games.
Pitman struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Enochs came up short against Gregori on Tuesday and fell 60-47. While losing is never fun, Enochs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1008th, while Gregori is ranked 426th).
Pitman's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Enochs, they bumped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Pitman strolled past Enochs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 50-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pitman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
