Futures' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sasha Salfetnikov, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Simone Gomez, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Sacramento Waldorf has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Futures, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacramento Waldorf will face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Christian is on a five-game streak of home wins, the Waves a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Futures, they will head out on the road to square off against the Fire Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
