Covington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Stein out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Austin Foley was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 11 boards and four blocks.
Covington's record is now 7-9. As for Southmont, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Covington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-51 defeat against Lebanon on the 25th. Southmont has also already played their next contest, a 56-44 victory against Crawfordsville on the 25th.
