Bishop Hendricken.
Cranston East made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from seventh to fourth place in the league thanks to a 2-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile,
Toll Gate fell hardest in the standings, dropping from fourth all the way to seventh place after going 0-3 in the past week. First-place Bishop Hendricken (11-0, 9-0) went 3-0 over the past week.
East Providence boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Townies have allowed just 66 hits, while striking out 30 batters.
Scott Mello leads the Townies with 20 strikeouts in 28 innings.
Cranston East's
Brandon Budlong threw seven shutout innings in a 6-0 win over Smithfield on May 2, 2012. He struck out six, allowing two hits.
Nicholas Debarros went 4-5 as Moses Brown defeated East Providence 7-3 on May 2, 2012. He also drove in one runners and scored three runs.
