B O L D (Olivia, Minn.) grabbed the lead when
Nick Kubesh kicked a field goal with less than a minute remaining in the fifth quarter and held on to upset
Holdingford (Minn.) 23-20 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.
The loss came as a surprise for the Huskers, which entered the game ranked No. 25 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Minnesota, while the Warriors were ranked No. 28.
Chaz Roush played well for B O L D in the victory. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
Holdingford's
Mitch Messman played well. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.
The loss comes after Holdingford defeated Upsala/Swanville 34-0 last week.
