Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garey to victory, but perhaps none more so than Armani Owens, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Owens is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Alyssa Herrera was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Garey is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Pomona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Garey will be playing at home against Edgewood at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgewood is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Pomona, they will face off against La Puente at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
