The DuBois Beavers and the Marion Center Stingers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. DuBois has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
DuBois scored the most points they've had all season to find success back in December of 2023. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over Brockway. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win DuBois has managed all season.
Marion Center posted their biggest win since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They breezed by Conemaugh Township at home to the tune of 55-24. Given Marion Center's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Conemaugh Township is ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
DuBois' victory bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Marion Center, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
