The Clover Park Timberwolves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 67-6 loss at the hands of Orting. Clover Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orting to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Thomas, who rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Mendenhall was in the mix as well, providing Orting with two touchdowns.
Clover Park's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Enumclaw and 6-2 Franklin Pierce (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79.9% over those games). As for Orting, the win was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clover Park will square off against Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orting will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Enumclaw at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
