The Livingston Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Ripon Christian at home by a decisive 48-30 margin. Livingston found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 22 to 3 on offense.
Livingston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adriana Cervantes Molina, who scored four points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatianna Alvarez, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Livingston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Maddie Yonker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds for Ripon Christian. Another player making a difference was Reagan Van der hoek, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Livingston has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Ripon Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Livingston will be playing at home against Escalon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Escalon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Ripon Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilmar will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
