Valencia hasn't had much luck against Camarillo recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Vikings will head out to square off against the Scorpions at 1:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, Valencia needed a bit of extra time to put away Golden Valley. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since February 17th.

Caleb Crawford looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
On the hitting side, Kyle Josing was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jack Yamamura, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Valencia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.6.
Meanwhile, Camarillo got themselves on the board against Moorpark on Friday, but Moorpark never followed suit. They didn't even let the Musketeers on the board, marking their second-straight 5-0 shutout.
Braden Huber tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Camarillo is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Brayden Smith was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Valencia's record is now 9-12. As for Camarillo, their record now sits at 10-13.
